Reporting directly to the CEO, this ongoing 0.5 FTE position (approx. 20 hours per week, remote with Melbourne or Sydney preferred) is central to ensuring ACI maintains full compliance as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining compliance with the Standards for RTOs 2025, managing student and trainer records, and supporting continuous improvement across ACI's education portfolio. This is a hands-on compliance role where your expertise will ensure ACI remains audit-ready, quality-driven, and trusted by our members and regulators alike.
What you'll be doing
- Monitor and maintain compliance with the Standards for RTOs 2025 and ASQA requirements.
- Manage student records and files to ensure enrolment, assessment, and completion processes are fully compliant.
- Oversee trainer/assessor compliance, including TAE qualifications, vocational competency, and PD logs.
- Support policy and procedure updates to ensure alignment with current regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal compliance audits, self-assurance activities, and risk monitoring.
- Prepare documentation and evidence for audits, registrations, and external reviews.
- Provide compliance advice and reporting directly to the CEO.
What we're looking for
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) — mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in RTO compliance and administration.
- Strong knowledge of the VET Quality Framework and Standards for RTOs.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational and communication skills.
- Digital literacy across student management systems, LMS platforms, and compliance tools.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a small, collaborative team.
What we offer
At the Australian Compliance Institute, we are proud to offer a supportive, flexible, and collaborative work environment. As part of our team, you will enjoy:
- A competitive remuneration package ($100,000 FTE p.a. plus superannuation, pro-rata at 0.5 FTE - $50,000 plus superannuation)
- Flexible work arrangements (fully remote/WFH)
- Opportunities for professional development
- The chance to make a meaningful contribution to Australia's compliance education and professional standards.
About us
The Australian Compliance Institute is the leading professional association for compliance and risk management professionals in Australia. As a Registered Training Organisation, ACI delivers nationally recognised qualifications and professional education to support compliance excellence across industries.
Join us in shaping the future of compliance education and making a lasting impact on the profession.
