We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing course Trainers with passion and responsibility, capable of inspiring student interest in the field of Animal Care Services and providing them with comprehensive training. This position requires a strong background in animal science, teaching skills, and a genuine concern for student development. The role involves curriculum design, implementation, and student guidance to ensure they receive quality education in Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

Position Type: Casual/Part-Time with potential for Full-Time

Key Qualification: Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Development and Design:

• Follow and improve the current curriculum of Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing course
• Keep course content up-to-date and innovative by incorporating the latest industry trends and research findings
• Design the short-term Animal Care Services workshop course

2. Teaching Implementation:

• Deliver high-quality online and classroom instruction to inspire student interest in Veterinary Nursing
• Utilise multimedia resources and real-life cases to enhance students' understanding of course content

3. Student Guidance:

• Establish positive teacher-student relationships and provide personalised academic and career guidance
• Supervise student internships, ensuring the application of theoretical knowledge in real-world environments

4. Assessment and Feedback:

• Regularly assess students' academic performance and provide targeted feedback and suggestions
• Participate in course evaluations and improvements to ensure continuous enhancement of course quality

5. Professional Development:

• Continuously update knowledge in the field, staying informed about the latest trends and developments in the Animal Care industry
• Actively participate in industry seminars, conferences, and training to exchange experiences and best practices with peers

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant qualification in Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing or above
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) is mandatory
• Experience in Veterinary nursing in Australia is mandatory
• Familiarity with Student Management Systems (SMS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is advantageous
• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite

Desired Candidate Qualities:

• Experience as a Trainer in Animal care services/Veterinary nursing is preferred
• A passion for teaching and mentoring in the field of Veterinary nursing
• Energetic, proactive, and knowledgeable about current industry practices
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player
