We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Prime and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our Mobile Core & Services Engineering (MCSE) business unit in Group Networks, based in Macquarie Park, Sydney.
The day to day
- Act as technical project prime and SME with specific focus on SBC systems / IMS architecture, and other relevant technology area across multiple technology domains.
- Be responsible for all technical components around network design of the project including the scoping, design, testing, documentation and all steps required for the successful implementation in the production network.
- Specify, define, and document design processes, standards and practices related to the signalling/switching/data network to ensure engineering best practices are maintained.
- Creation of technical training material and delivery of training / presentation to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- provide recommendations concerning technical solutions and designs for signalling / switching / mobile data network.
Why you are our next Senior Technical Specialist
- Expertise in IMS/SBC solutions, especially containerized Nokia IMS/SBC and Ericsson IMS.
- In-depth knowledge of SBC/IMS/VoLTE architecture and use cases.
- Familiarity with IETF and 3GPP standards for media services, SBG signalling, and networking.
- Experience with Nokia Cloud Native Communication Suite (CNCS) (both control and media plane) and containerised networks.
- Strong understanding of Mobile Network Core design, signalling flows, and protocols (SIP, H.248, Diameter, HTTP(S), SIPREC, IPsec, TLS, RTP, DTMF, SIGTRAN, etc.).
- NFVI knowledge, with Openstack and Ericsson product knowledge being advantageous.
- Containerization and orchestration skills (Kubernetes, Openshift, AWS, Openstack, VMware clouds).
- Experience with HLD/LLD creation, configuration, integration, and acceptance testing.
- Proficiency with DevOps tools (Gitlab, IaaC, Ansible).
- Ability to collaborate with engineering, product, and architectural teams.
