About the Role

As a Senior Claims Specialist, you will lead the management of complex and high-value motor claims from lodgement to settlement. You will provide technical guidance, ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards, and deliver exceptional service to policyholders and stakeholders. You will also mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous improvement across the claims function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex and litigated motor claims
  • Conduct monthly QA file reviews
  • Approve payments and oversee large loss reviews
  • Deliver specialised monthly reporting
  • Provide technical support and referrals
  • Lead training and coaching initiatives
  • Act as a senior escalation point within the team

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in motor insurance claims
  • Proven expertise in complex and litigated claims
  • Strong technical knowledge of motor insurance products and legislation
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • High attention to detail and analytical capability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to mentor and upskill junior team members
  • Proficiency in claims management systems and MS Office
