For more than 60 years, we've supported the backbone of Australia's health system by setting the standards for education and practice and advocating for better health and wellbeing for all Australians.

We foster the future of general practice through our profession-led, community-based training model for the Australian General Practice Training Program and other pathways. We support GPs' ongoing professional development and provide a point of connection for GPs serving communities in every corner of the country.

We're committed to diversity and social inclusion and encourage applications from people who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, people with disability and people from culturally diverse backgrounds. If you require any support or adjustments to participate in any stage of our recruitment process, please let us know in your application.

About the role

About you

You are confident working with senior stakeholders and can manage sensitive information with the highest level of discretion. You have excellent written skills and produce executive-ready material with attention to detail. You are highly organised, calm under pressure and able to anticipate needs before they arise.

To thrive in this role, you'll demonstrate:

Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting minutes, reports and correspondence.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and credibility across senior executives, committees and external partners.

Advanced MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Visio desirable).

A collaborative, collegiate approach to working with peers and colleagues.

Experience providing support to executives working in high pressure public affairs and crisis management roles

The benefits

Maximise your pay: Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax-free, plus additional options for meals, entertainment and novated leases
