The firm provides insurance and personal injury law advice to insureds, businesses and injured individuals across the areas of insurance disputes, public liability, workers' compensation and compulsory third party claims.

About the role

We're loking for a motivated Law Clerk to join our Hendra office on a part-time basis (2 days per week). This presents a great opportunity for the successful applicant to work on high value matters, with an Accredited Personal Injury Law Specialist.

The role will involve tasks including, the preparation of:

  • factual chronologies;
  • summaries of client documents, investigation reports, medical reports and medical records;
  • medical chronologies;
  • instructions to counsel;
  • statements;
  • legal research;
  • draft correspondence to insurers, clients and doctors;
  • blog articles and case reviews;
  • such other work, as required from time to time, in line with the position of a law clerk.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • be enrolled in a Bachelor of Laws in Qld;
  • ideally have previous experience in insurance, the medical industry or personal injury law, that will allow you to understand and summarise medical reports and records;
  • produce clear, firm style formatted and accurate work in Microsoft Word;
  • have strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • be committed to providing high quality service to clients;
  • be organised, team oriented and enthusiastic;
  • be self-disciplined, self-motivated and trustworthy.
