This role is a rare find in the legal industry, offering exceptional flexibility without compromising the prestige of a leading firm. In fact, it provides some of the most adaptable working arrangements we've seen in the insurance sector.
We've placed lawyers in fully remote roles while they travel across Australia, others working from the Sunshine Coast for a Brisbane-based team, and some who come into the office just a few days a week. There are also those who prefer to work from their stunning CBD offices four or five days per week.
Ultimately, you choose what works best for your lifestyle and working style.
As part of an award-winning mid-tier firm with six offices and over 500 staff across Australia, you'll be supported by a dedicated team of legal and administrative professionals.
Due to a consistent increase in workload, this firm is seeking an additional SA or SC to join their thriving insurance team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse and complex range of matters, including:
- Directors and Officers (D&O) Liability Insurance
- Financial Institutions Professional Indemnity
- Employment Practices Liability (EPL) Insurance
- Contract Works Insurance
- Defamation Law
- Legal Services Indemnity Issues
- Management Liability
- Construction-Related Professional Indemnity
- Health Law and Medical Malpractice
- Local Government (including councillors and officers)
In this role, you will also gain valuable experience providing advice on policy coverage and policy wording issues, further developing your expertise in insurance law.
This growing team is seeking a Senior Associate or Special Counsel with specialist insurance experience. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years' PAE.
- A background from a reputable specialist, mid-tier, or top-tier firm or in-house with an insurer.
- Experience in defending professional indemnity claims.
This national opportunity is open to lawyers based anywhere in Australia. The role offers genuine remote working flexibility, requiring only a reliable internet connection. To maintain a strong team culture, you are encouraged to join social events and meetings at any of the firm's offices nationwide.
