We are looking to welcome a medical receptionist into our practice located at St John of God Subiaco Hospital.  You will be joining a small and united team including Dr Clay, his nurse practitioner, secretaries and practice manager in delivering care for people living with cancer.

The position is full time from Monday to Friday.

What we need from you:

  • The ability to provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to patients and their supporters
  • Liaison with other health care practices including GPs, Specialists, Allied Health, Pathology and Medical Imaging
  • Organising bookings for patients into the hospital (day oncology, day procedure and inpatient wards)

Key Skills:

  • A caring and compassionate nature
  • Experience working in a medical practice
  • Experience using Genie Practice Management Software is highly desirable
  • The ability to multi-task and work efficiently
  • A high level of written & verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computing
  • Maintenance of patient confidentiality
  • Accounts - billing/receipting money, banking including liaising with Medicare, DVA and Private Health funds regarding patient accounts
  • Appreciating Dr Clay's humour even when others do not

Due to the vulnerable nature of the patients we serve vaccination against COVID19 is required.  Annual vaccination against influenza is expected
