About the role

Ballarat Leagues Club is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team in Ballarat East, Victoria. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and creating delicious meals that delight our customers. This is a full-time role, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing high-quality meals in a timely manner according to our menu and customer requirements
  • Ensuring all food preparation and cooking processes adhere to health, safety and hygiene standards
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and improve existing dishes
  • Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
  • Providing excellent customer service and handling any customer queries or complaints
  • Adhering to budget and cost control measures

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a similar hospitality or catering environment
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and menu planning
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and under pressure
  • Enthusiasm for creating innovative and delicious dishes
  • Food safety and hygiene certification
