About the role

At Origin, we're advancing clean energy by providing innovative electric mobility solutions. Help lead Australia's transition to net-zero with advanced EV charging technology.

As the Technical Solutions Manager, you'll combine engineering practices and technical experience to shape EV charging in Australia. You will oversee engineering for a growing team, drive infrastructure strategies, mentor engineers, and serve as the key technical expert in customer and stakeholder discussions. Delivering safe, compliant, and market-leading solutions. Your responsibilities include;

• Lead the engineering team in design, pricing, and delivery of complex EV charging installations for commercial, public, and residential apartment applications.
• Provide pre-sales technical expertise for large tenders, collaborating closely with sales and bid teams.
• Drive innovation in product development, design processes, templates, and technical standards to ensure best-in-market solutions.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, contractors, and product vendors to deliver outstanding outcomes for our customers
• Ensure design and engineering solutions are safe, compliant, cost-effective and meets the customer's requirements.

What will you bring?

You will be a confident communicator and influencer, able to build trust across technical and non-technical teams. You will have experience leading with empathy, inspiring collaboration and adapting quickly to change. Keeping customer needs front and centre while solving complex challenges. You will also have;

• Demonstrated experience in design and engineering for EV charging, Solar PV, or electrical installations.
• Electrical Engineering degree (Chartered or Registered Engineer desirable).
• Strong leadership skills – able to inspire, mentor, and guide engineering teams in a dynamic environment.
• Technical capability in electrical design, compliance, and installation best practices.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams.
