We are seeking a Solution Architect - Systems Integration to join our team in Melbourne (Scoresby).
JOB PURPOSE
A Solution Architect is required to work within a team developing hardware and software integration solutions and application requirements for our clients primarily utilising IoT edge computing devices & Private Mobile Radio equipment. You will work directly with our sales team and clients to determine requirements and develop the system architecture, design and software flows. You will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise and technical solution scoping/presentation to clients and stakeholders on Simoco's integrated solutions, with a focus on client engagement, pre-sales design, bid preparation, POC management, along with involvement with project delivery and solution support as required. You will have responsibilities for hands-on technical support, liaising with clients to establish technical solutions to their requirements and developing the necessary supporting documentation to accompany the solution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales support and client engagement/management.
- Solutions and product development based on client and company requirements
- Preparation of design specifications and detailed design implementation
- Contribute to unit and integration testing, including reviewing results against customer and/or markets expectations
- Provide technical assistance to all members of the team as needed to manage or resolve technical issues associated with solutions (hardware and software).
- Developing, implementing and managing proof of value/proof of concept programs of works (hand on).
- Maintain knowledge of current market offerings and how Simoco offerings compare.
- Develop subject matter expertise in our solution sets (hardware and software)
- Translate a solution to a variety of stakeholders with varying expectations and technical expertise.
- Prepare and be able to confidently present detailed presentations, business cases, quotes and solution briefs.
- Assist with tenders.
- Prepare and/or review user level documentation (manuals, release notes etc.) as required to assist product management, manufacturing, implementation and customer service staff within the Company.
- Maintain and improve own skills in the above and other related knowledge areas.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Strong technical skills with demonstrable experience of solutions design.
- Strong document writing and presentation skills
- Customer engagement and requirements management
- Ability to be hands-on and maintain your own technical skills (config, integration, design, hardware builds, POV/POC)
- Ability to produce detailed client requirements and scope documentation based on client interactions
- Familiarity in the use of test instruments associated with software and hardware integration
- Experience in the ICT industry products, services and sales
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, problem solving skills and team working abilities.
- Knowledge of networking protocols as used in router applications and ability to configure and implement switch/routing
- Ability to read, understand and incorporate technical specifications (standards) into solutions.
- Proficient in the use of development facilities associated with software development including coding, version control, build and defect tracking tools.
