Summary
The Technical Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant (SC) partners with IPTel Account Managers (AMs) to drive a consultative selling approach, providing technical expertise throughout the sales process. The SC plays a key role in understanding client requirements, designing customised solutions, validating technical feasibility, and defining the scope of
implementation to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- The core focus will be on all elements of enterprise networking and competency across WLAN, LAN, WAN, and DC is mandatory.
- Beyond enterprise networking, cyber security solutions are a highly desired competency as IPTel expand our service capabilities
- Managing a pipeline of AM-led opportunities from a technical and solution perspective.
- Leading technical presales workshops to support organisational capability.
- Applying extensive knowledge & technical/practitioner expertise of Cisco (or competitors) horizontal, or cross-architectural solutions, to develop effective and competitive offers that result in extended reach consulting and booked business.
- Driving knowledge management regarding best practices (knowledge on how to sell and approach complex solutions) on given topics for internal and external use.
- Development of professional services delivery estimations and quotations.
- Fostering customer satisfaction and relationships
- Technical evaluation and quality control of scopes to ensure they are meeting satisfactory validated designs
- Tender Solution ownership
- Support the Account Managers as they execute against Sales Account Plans that lead to the pipeline creation and conversion for complex solutions
- Articulate compelling value propositions around IPTel Solutions suite of Products & Services
Qualifications:
- More than 3 years in Technical Sales/Pre-sales related position.
- Prior experience within a Cisco Partner or organisation.
- Proven experience estimating professional services to deploy solutions and development of customer quotations.
- Proven experience translating customer business and technology priorities/challenges into technology solutions
- A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.
- Undertake and maintain industry certifications. Preferred: Industry certifications CCIE-RS or equivalent.
- Proven track record to succeed in a targeted revenue environment.
- Strong customer engagement skills and consulting experience.
- Skills in problem-solving, negotiating, business writing, customer relationship management, conflict resolution, effective presentation, and active listening.
- Strong analytical capability.
- SME on evaluating and applying Cisco Solutions to fully align to customer opportunities and expectations.
