Job reference number: 101757
Employment type: Fixed Term Full-Time
Salary range: $ $
You want to play a part in making NSW a better place to work, live and travel.
Work in an organisation based on purpose, structure and process. You know that to make a meaningful contribution to our community and economy, there needs to be diligence in our operations.
In this role, you'll:
Join the Engineering & Maintenance division at Sydney Trains as a Project Resources Officer, where you'll take the lead in coordinating the end-to-end resourcing and recruitment process across a dynamic operational team.
Your role will involve everything from writing job ads and organising interviews to onboarding new hires and supporting the talent program.
You'll be the go-to person for resourcing queries, recruitment admin, and coordination of workforce requirements, working closely with HR, hiring managers and managing the discretionary training process.
You'll be the go-to person for resourcing queries, recruitment admin, and coordination of workforce requirements, working closely with HR, hiring managers and managing the discretionary training process.
You'll play a key role in maintaining e-lists, compiling recruitment reports, managing onboarding processes (including system access and training bookings), and supporting continuous improvements in resourcing procedures and the graduate program.

About you
You're an organised, proactive self-starter with a background in recruitment coordination, HR administration or training delivery, project management or senior admininstration role, ideally in a customer-facing or operational business.
You've worked in fast-paced environments where you've handled multiple recruitment processes at once, written clear comms, prepared documentation, and supported interview panels.
You bring 2–3 years of relevant experience, strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and confidence in liaising with a wide range of stakeholders.
You understand how training needs align with business goals and are comfortable managing projects like sourcing external training packages or devising simple communication plans.
While you may not have a degree, your hands-on HR or administrative experience, strong attention to detail, and ability to juggle competing priorities make you a valued team member.
Bonus if you've worked in a rail, engineering, or contractor-heavy environment before.
