We are seeking an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires excellent people management skills, a strong understanding of restaurant operations, and the ability to work collaboratively with both front-of-house staff and the kitchen team.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: 4 days per week (3 weekdays, and Saturday, Closed on Sundays)
  • Employment Type: Full-time, 38 hours per week
  • Location: Manuka Woodfire Kitchen

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth service delivery
  • Manage, motivate, and support front-of-house staff
  • Collaborate closely with the Head Chef, and Kitchen team particularly as our menu changes daily
  • Assist in developing and implementing drink menus
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for both staff and guests
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing and workplace health and safety requirements

About You:

  • Previous experience in a duty manager or supervisory role within hospitality.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Current Approved Manager (or equivalent) certification
  • Passionate about great food, service, and guest experience
