Old Courthouse is always putting on events such as tribute nights, themed dinners and even host wedding ceremonies

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Venue Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality management, creating events and working in a diverse venue. As an Assistant Venue Manager, you will support the Venue Manager in the day-to-day operations of the venue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations during scheduled shifts, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards.
  • Manage and motivate a team of employees, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating staff performance.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the venue meets all health, safety, licensing and legal obligations.
  • Lead all facets of the venue in the absence of the Venue Manager.
  • Work with the Venue Manager to ensure all administrative duties are performed in a thorough but timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in hospitality management
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software
