About the role

We are currently seeking a full-time Bookings Officer to join our dedicated operations team at our Erskine Park, NSW depot.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Checking all consignments received for bookings requirements.
  • Phoning relevant receivers for allocation of dates and times for delivery.
  • Updating in-house computer systems and spreadsheets with all relevant information.
  • Raising pallet dockets and cross-referencing with consignment numbers.
  • Creating booking sheets for freight allocation.
  • Liaising with relevant operations employees for special deliveries.
  • Data entry of consignment notes and manifests.

Specific experience in the areas of bookings within the transport industry is desirable but not mandatory.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced team-based work environment.
  • Good planning and organisational skills.
