About The Opportunity
We have an exciting full-time permanent opportunity for a Leading Hand Fire Technician to join our Asset Services team based in Hendra.

You will

  • Be the team leader and provide training, guidance and technical support for your team
  • Perform fire systems equipment repairs, upgrades, and renewals.
  • Service, inspect, test, fault find, trouble shoot and repair Fire Detection & Emergency Warning Systems and Associated Control and Indication Equipment.
  • Service, inspect, and test Exit and Emergency Lighting systems.
  • Be a part of a positive, motivated and innovative multi-disciplinary team.
  • Comply to required company policies, procedures, processes, and applicable Australian Industry Standards.
  • Join the on-call roster

As you will be working in secure and sensitive environments, you
MUST
be able to obtain a current police clearance.

About You

  • Complete and pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol screening
  • Hold QBCC Electrical Stream install and maintain qualifications
  • Knowledge & experience of programming & fault finding with repair a range of Fire panels inclusive but not limited to the following brands: Ampac, Notifier, Pertronic, Hochiki, MX, Simplex, Ziton, Edwards, Siemens.
  • Current C class manual driver's license
  • Prior experience in the special hazard fire stream areas would be advantageous
  • Dedicated commitment to Australian standards, regulations, and safe work practices
  • Proven computer literacy, able to use a tablet and smart phone
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment to effectively complete task requirements
