About the Role

We are on the lookout for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Kirra Beach House and support the Head Chef delivering functions & events, daily operations of the kitchen, across the Terrace Menus to Beach House Events, from procurement and food preparation to quality control and team leadership, ensuring high quality food is delivered to our guests. Reporting to the Head Chef you will:

● Lead effective people practices for your team including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, all within a positive working environment.

● Ensure the food offering is prepared and delivered to guests in line with Site Hospitality's standards of quality and service.

● Capable of delivering on trend, relevant & seasonal food offering.

● Be accountable for sourcing growth opportunities, activating ideas and delivery of concepts alongside the Head Chef

About us

Site Hospitality is a progressive group making waves on the Gold Coast's hospitality landscape, SITE launched its first owned and operated venue Crafty's Sports Bar and hasn't looked back since. With 2023 being the year of rapid expansion, opening 2 venues in 12 months, including the newly hatted kōst bar and grill, and finishing with the launch of the Southern Gold Coast's new gem, Kirra Beach House.

About You

To be the perfect addition to Kirra Beach House, you will have 1 years prior experience as a Sous chef in a high paced, high-volume environment where you've used your good time management skills, excellent leadership and the ability to work under pressure.

You'll also be:

● Able to Train others on new techniques in all sections and maintain high standards of quality and presentation.

● A good communicator with a positive attitude and a genuine team player.

● Worked across events, weddings and functions.

● Organised with a strong passion for consistent, well executed food.

● Background in development of kitchen staff of all levels.

We prefer someone who is an Australia Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen however sponsorship is not off the menu for the right person after a successful probationary period.
