Chef Manager

We currently have an opportunity for a Chef Manager. Join our Health and Education team and play a key role in delivering high-quality outcomes at Kitchen Café - Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH). Reporting to the Retail Services Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

The Café operating hours are 6am - 8pm, there may be a need to work evenings and weekends when required.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Lead daily operations of the café kitchen, ensuring consistent service and product quality.
• Ensure food delivery, transportation, storage, handling and service adheres to legislative food safety guidelines as they relate to temperature control, stock rotation, packaging, labelling and cleanliness.
• Ensure temperature monitoring occurs at delivery and service points; completes all required records and maintains accessible and orderly files, in accordance with legislative and company requirements.
• Oversee team performance, rostering, and training to meet operational needs.
• Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to meet revenue and cost targets.

What You'll Bring

• Chef Trade Certificate.
• Proven experience in hospitality or retail café management, ideally within a franchise environment.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and KPIs.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, OH&S, and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in rostering, inventory control, and POS systems.
