What is Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA)?

Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) is a national employment program led by Endeavour Foundation that empowers people with intellectual disability to prepare for, gain and sustain meaningful open employment. It focuses on person-centred support, employer engagement, and creating lasting inclusion in the workforce.

About the Role

As a Workplace Support Specialist, you'll play a vital role in helping people with intellectual disability maintain sustainable employment by providing tailored post-placement support and partnering with employers to create inclusive, thriving workplaces.

You'll work closely with both job seekers and employers to design and deliver solutions that reduce turnover, improve retention, and support successful long-term employment outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide tailored support to job seekers and employers to ensure sustainable employment outcomes.

  • Identify and implement interventions that reduce employment risks and enhance inclusion.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers to promote long-term partnerships.

  • Coordinate diversity training and customised employment solutions where needed.

  • Monitor progress, document support activities, and meet key performance milestones.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience supporting people with intellectual disability in employment, education, or community services.

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Proven ability to deliver customer-centric, outcome-focused support.

  • Commercial acumen and understanding of workforce planning and diversity initiatives.

  • Qualifications or experience in employment services, training, or community development (highly desirable).
