Job Title: Care Support Specialist

We provide support to individuals, enabling them to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

This includes assistance with daily living activities, promoting choice and dignity, and ensuring a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Support: Assist with hygiene, dressing, toileting, and mobility as needed.

  • Daily Living Assistance: Help with tasks such as cooking, cleaning, shopping.

  • Health & Wellbeing Support: Support with medication, attending medical appointments, and promoting healthy lifestyles.

  • Emotional Support: Offer companionship, build positive relationships, and support emotional wellbeing.

  • Community Engagement: Encourage participation in social, educational, and recreational activities.

  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of care provided, incidents, and progress notes.

  • Safeguarding: Adhere to safeguarding policies to protect individuals from harm.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Reliable and able to work independently

  • Respectful of confidentiality and diversity

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certificate III in individual support

  • Experience supporting vulnerable individuals
