Centred in the heart of Newcastle, Clarendon Hotel blends a vibrant bar and beer garden, contemporary dining, and 20 accommodation rooms upstairs.

With major renovations and expansion approved for next year, we're preparing for an exciting new chapter — and we're looking for a standout Front Desk & Admin Support team member to help us deliver exceptional guest experiences along the way.

THE ROLE:

  • Handle the day-to-day rhythm of our front office, keeping operations flowing smoothly and efficiently as you manage overall front office duties.
  • Perform cash handling and reconciliation for the venue; preparing daily reports, sales data, and supporting back-office procedures with accuracy.
  • As the first point-of-contact for accommodation, you'll ensure all enquiries and requests are handled promptly, professionally, and with care.
  • Manage the administrative side of a hotel stay using our RMS, processing reservations, checking guests in and out, and ensuring guest records are accurate and up to date.
  • Deliver an outstanding guest experience — from first contact to check-out — creating a stay that feels seamless, personable, and memorable.
  • Support our management team with ad-hoc administrative tasks.
  • Casual position across a flexible 7-day roster, with hours negotiable for the right candidate.

  • You're self-motivated when working solo; equally thriving as part of a team.
  • You're a clear communicator — with your team, your manager, and our guests.
  • Experience with Opera or other RMS software is desirable.
