About Hyosung
Hyosung Heavy Industries Corporation is a leading manufacturer of power equipment including power transformer, shunt reactor, gas insulated switchgear, energy storage system. Hyosung Heavy Industries branch in Australia will work with customers from power generation/transmission/distribution industries, EPC contractors, mining companies, construction contractors and manufacturers based in Australia and New Zealand region.
Responsibilities:
Manage multiple projects including cost management, project scheduling, document control, contract management including payment claims and contract variations, subcontract management on orders from Australia and New Zealand. (ANZ)
Collaborate and review with senior manager in Australia branch, multiple teams at head office based in South Korea or manufacturing facilities in global locations during bid stage on cost estimate of onshore activities including transport, equipment installation, testing and pre-commissioning in particular.
Review complete bid documents in line with the local regulations, practice and law with sales manager.
Manage subcontractors' offer validity and assist procurement team to ensure the executed subcontract is based on the initial project budget.
Coordinate with local subcontractors on projects to meet with project deadlines.
Participate in seminar, design review, technical and construction site meetings with customers based in ANZ
Arrange route survey during bid or implementation stage of a project, and participate construction site survey and report preparation
Report regularly on project progresses to branch manager in Australia and sales managers at head office.
Resolve on-site quality issues during onshore activities with equipment installation supervisors, and service engineers at head office.
Create and develop site documents including but not limited to safety work methods statement, environmental assessment, risk assessment, transport plan, inspection and test procedure
Create project logs inclusive of payment invoices, contract documents, technical clarifications, variations, and all important email or written correspondence.
Conduct site & route survey by appointing a person in charge within the local organization or using an outsourcing company.
Regular visits to customers to collect voice of customer
Minimize variation costs arising from undefined additional works of the Erection Subcontractor
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
Minimum 5 years relevant post qualification experience delivering infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge in project process from bid stage to completion of the works.
Experience using project management software including MS Project, MS Office, AutoCAD, ERP (SAP, etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
Ideal Candidate will have:
Proven ability to lead rather than follow, demonstrating initiative and independence in problem-solving and decision-making
Good understanding of high voltage equipment design, manufacturing, installation and testing
Proven experience handling Health, Safety, Environmental responsibilities related to construction, operation and maintenance of electrical equipment in accordance with local regulations in all Australian states and New Zealand
Good understanding of Australian Standards related to power equipment; knowledge in connection with IEC Standards is a plus.
