Are you a hands-on sales leader who loves the chase, closes with confidence, and thrives on building something that lasts? We're looking for a Head of Sales who's as comfortable in the trenches as they are at the strategy table.
My client:
An Australian consulting and technology firm helping enterprise and mid-market clients make digital transformation real—across Salesforce, Atlassian, and custom software development. They are all about practical outcomes, not just buzzwords.
About the Role:
This isn't just about managing a team from the sidelines. We need someone who'll own the pipeline, lead from the front, and deliver results—personally and through a small, high-performing team. You'll focus on direct selling, building trusted relationships, and driving revenue across all our service lines. Yes, you'll help align marketing and messaging, but winning business and growing accounts is your true north.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Personally own and close high-value deals across Salesforce, Atlassian, and custom development
- Prospect, pitch, negotiate, and bring home new clients—no ivory tower stuff
- Lead the full sales cycle: qualify, propose, close, and hand over to delivery
- Build, coach, and inspire a lean sales team—hire well, set clear targets, and drive accountability
- Shape and refine sales processes, go-to-market strategies, and partner/channel sales motions (especially with Salesforce and Atlassian)
- Own the numbers—monthly, quarterly, and annual targets—reporting straight to the CEO
- Use CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce) to keep the pipeline honest and the forecast sharp
- Work closely with delivery and ops to ensure what's promised gets delivered
Marketing & Brand (Secondary, but also important):
- Team up with marketing on campaigns, lead gen, and content—making sure what we say matches what we deliver
- Help keep our brand messaging sharp and client-focused
What You Bring:
- 8–10+ years in B2B sales (tech consulting, software, SaaS) with at least 3–5 years leading teams
- Proven closer—mid to large enterprise deals, complex sales cycles, and happy clients to show for it
- Deep understanding of Salesforce, Atlassian, or similar platforms
- Experience with license resale, managed/professional services
- Data-driven, CRM-disciplined, and commercially sharp
- Hunter mentality, but you know how to build and scale a repeatable process
- Great communicator, strong negotiator, and a natural relationship builder
- Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
