About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee kitchen operations, contribute to menu development, and deliver high-quality dishes that reflect our global-Aussie fusion style.
Key responsibilities:
· Lead and coordinate kitchen operations with professionalism and creativity.
· Prepare and present dishes that reflect our global-Aussie fusion style, both for daily service and special events.
· Design seasonal menus and recipes that showcase fresh, high-quality ingredients.
· Manage stock levels, ensuring efficiency while minimising waste.
· Oversee food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining compliance at all times.
· Train and support kitchen staff in cooking techniques, presentation, and service excellence.
· Collaborate with management to cost menu items and trial innovative specials.
· Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in food preparation and service excellence
Qualifications & Experience:
· Relevant AQF qualification in Commercial Cookery/Kitchen Management or Equivalent
· Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in a busy restaurant, café, or hotel.
· Proven ability to create and present dishes with consistency and creativity.
Skills & Competencies:
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Organised and able to work effectively under pressure.
· Positive, professional attitude and team-focused mindset.
· Passion for food innovation and customer satisfaction.
