Magill Estate focuses on delivering exceptional food and service that compliments the fine wine selection on offer by Penfolds.
About the Role:
We are currently looking to fill in a role for Sous Chef.
Reporting to the Head Chef, you will be responsible for day to day runnings of the kitchen operations for all Magill Estate Kitchen team.
- 5 day roster;
- Shifts cover both prep and service;
- 40 hours weekly;
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the team through service, prep and pack downs;
- Ordering;
- Training;
- Contribute to menu offerings;
- Working in a manner that is conducive to efficient time management of yourself and those around you;
- Communicating effectively with your team, managers and all other sections of the business.
About You:
If you're the one for this full time role, you will demonstrate dedication and a creative vision and have 2+ years of experience in a comparable role in a busy or professional environment focusing on delivering high standards and an exceptional product working with functions and/or events. You will also:
- Have a relevant trade qualification (Commercial Cookery Cert III, or equivalent) and 2+ years post qualification in a comparable role within the restaurant industry;
- Passion for delivering high quality food in a fast paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail
