Woden Australian Capital Territory, Australia Dietitians Australia Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

About us

Dietitians Australia is the peak industry body for dietetic and nutrition professionals, representing over 9,000 members in Australia and overseas. Our mission is to champion the professional nutrition and dietetic workforce to empower people and communities. We are the leading voice of nutrition and dietetics, committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment where all staff are valued and respected. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.

About the role

As the Manager, Human Resources, you will lead delivery of Dietitians Australia's HR Roadmap across five domains: People systems and analytics, Talent and performance, Leadership capability, Culture and DEI, and Work Health and Safety. You will partner with managers and staff to deliver contemporary HR practices that are compliant, inclusive and people-centred, supporting a motivated and high-performing workforce.

This is a permanent, part-time position based in Canberra (up to 20 hours per week), with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the effective use of HR systems, particularly Employment Hero, to capture and report on workforce data.
  • Design and oversee performance and development frameworks that build capability and align with organisational goals.
  • Partner with people leaders to grow leadership capability and strengthen coaching, decision-making and inclusion.
  • Build and sustain an inclusive workplace culture by embedding DEI principles and running engagement surveys.
  • Develop and maintain a compliant Work Health and Safety framework that supports both physical and psychosocial wellbeing.
  • Provide advice and support to managers and staff on recruitment, employee relations, and HR policy.
  • Prepare reports for management and provide secretariat support to the People, Culture and Performance Committee.

About you

We are seeking an experienced HR professional with strong generalist skills and the ability to drive systems, culture and compliance initiatives. You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering HR initiatives across systems, performance, engagement and compliance.
  • Strong capability in using HR systems (e.g. Employment Hero) for performance, engagement and analytics.
  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation, including psychosocial safety requirements.
  • Experience designing and delivering staff development or leadership capability programs.
  • Strong understanding of DEI principles and how to embed them in organisational culture.
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving and communication skills, with a collaborative approach.

Why join us?

At Dietitians Australia, you'll be part of a purpose-driven organisation that values diversity, inclusion and the impact of nutrition and dietetics on communities across Australia. We offer:

  • A flexible and hybrid work environment based in Canberra.
  • The opportunity to shape the future of our HR function through delivery of the HR Roadmap.
  • A supportive and collaborative team culture where your expertise will directly support our people and mission.
  • A chance to contribute to an organisation that is championing better nutrition and dietetics for all Australians.

How to apply

To apply, please submit your CV (no more than 3 pages) via Seek, along with a written response (maximum 2 pages) addressing your skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the role.
