Administration Officer

About Us

Perinatal Wellbeing Centre has been supporting families in the ACT and surrounding region for over 30 years. Each year we care for more than 800 families, with over 500 receiving ongoing support through our evidence-based programs. We are a small, values-driven not-for-profit organisation committed to creating a nurturing, professional and compassionate environment for both our team and the families we serve.

About the Role

Are you an organised, detail-oriented administrator who enjoys ensuring the smooth running of an office and supporting the people who make things happen?

This part-time role (24 hours per week across 4 days) focuses on the office administration side of our organisation — not client service delivery.

You'll provide essential administrative support to the CEO and Business Manager, helping manage the operational heartbeat of the organisation across finance, HR, accreditation, IT, and general office coordination. If you enjoy working behind the scenes to keep systems running efficiently and people supported, this role is for you.

Key responsibilities

Assist the Business Manager with:

  • General office management and administration
  • Finances and record keeping
  • Accreditation to National Mental Health Standards
  • Human Resources administration
  • Organisational IT
  • Statistics and Data Collection
  • Volunteer co-ordination
  • Event co-ordination

Position Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated administration skills, preferably with experience in the not-for-profit sector
  • Strong operational, and team support skills
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management with the ability to prioritise competing demands
  • High level of computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office
  • An understanding of confidentiality and privacy requirements under the Health Records (Privacy and Access) Act 1997 and Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)
  • Experience in a similar business administration role (desirable)
