Be the heartbeat behind the medical workforce that keeps Toowoomba thriving. At Darling Downs Health, we're looking for a dynamic Medical Workforce Coordinator to champion the recruitment and support of Junior Medical Officers. If you're passionate about people, systems, and making a real impact in healthcare, this is your opportunity to shape the future of medical staffing in one of Queensland's most vibrant regional centres.
What Your Day Will Look Like….
You'll be the trusted advisor and strategic partner to hospital executives and clinical leaders, guiding decisions on recruitment, retention, and workforce planning. From coordinating the annual Queensland Health RMO campaign to liaising with national agencies on registration, immigration, and Medicare requirements, your work will be varied and meaningful. You'll craft innovative recruitment strategies, streamline processes, and ensure compliance with legislative frameworks—all while supporting medical officers through relocation, orientation, and career milestones. Whether you're solving complex staffing challenges or preparing insightful workforce reports, your role will be central to building a resilient and high-performing medical team.
Let's talk about you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can inspire the following:
- Compassion – you will engage with others and demonstrate empathy, care, kindness, support and understanding.
- Integrity – you are open, honest, approachable, equitable and consistent in everything we do.
- Dignity – you treat others with respect, display reasonableness and take pride in what you do.
- Innovation – you embrace change and strive to know more, learn more and do better.
- Courage – you respectfully question for clarity and have the strength and confidence to Speak Up.
