About Us:

The Queensland Centre for Digestive Medicine is a leading specialist clinic servicing a wide range of Gastrointestinal conditions for patients within the Darling Downs and surrounding regions. Our diverse team includes Gastroenterologists, Dietitians and Nurses who are committed to excellence in patient-centred care. We are seeking a compassionate medical receptionist to join our friendly team, with both full time and part time opportunities available.

About the Role:

As our Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in upholding our clinic's high standard of patient care. You will be the warm welcoming face to our clinic, ensuring that patients feel seen and heard, both in clinic and over the phone. You will also play a key role in supporting all of our practitioners while managing administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting patients in a joyful yet professional manner
  • Handle incoming phone, fax and email enquiries
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Organise patient consultations whilst managing our practitioner schedules
  • Booking patient procedures whilst coordinating practitioner and hospital schedules for a seamless patient experience
  • Processing payments and handling patient accounts, including Medicare and DVA claiming, HICAPS and EFT processing
  • Perform general duties such as filing, scanning and data entry
  • Communicate with other medical facilities to assist in coordinating patient care

About Our Successful Candidate:

Our ideal receptionist must have the communication and interpersonal skills to deliver high quality patient care. The ability to multitask in a fast paced environment, whilst providing a high standard of accuracy, is a must within this role. Our successful applicant must be able to join our friendly team and work as a team player. Previous experience in medical administration is highly regarded, however not essential.

The Opportunities:

Both Full Time and Part Time roles available:

  • Full Time

  • Monday to Thursday - 8am to 4.30pm

  • Friday - 7.30am to 2pm

  • 76 hours a fortnight

  • Part Time

  • Minimum 46 hours a fortnight

  • Days open to discussion with successful candidate

  • Above award pay rate negotiated based on experience
