Grand Central Medical Centre is seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to oversee day to day operations and lead our dedicated team of doctors, nurses and administrative staff. This full time role is central to ensuring the efficient, high quality of patient care

About the role: as Practice Manager you will be responsible for coordinating all administrative and operational aspects of the practice while working closely with the practice owners . Developing a broad knowledge of the practice functions and demonstrate the ability to switch between various medical and operational challenges managing uncertainty with confidence and expertise. This role requires a proactive leader who can balance strategic oversight with hands-on management to drive excellence.

Key Responsibilities: Recruit, train and manage admin staff including performance and reviews. Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare legislation , industry standards, and Fair Work requirements. Implement and maintain efficient cost effective systems, policies and procedures to optimize operations and staff rostering to meet finance constraints. Working closely with Doctors and clinical staff ensuring the practice meets ongoing Accreditation Standards at all times and commitment to PIP/Qi requirements. Monitoring key performance indicators and regular reporting on the progress of business applications and days to day processes.

Essential Skills:

  • PIP / PIP Qi /PIP Workforce and ready to work with team to meet all the PIPQI checks.
  • Medicare and DVA rules and compliance. Medicare / DVA/ Workcover reconciliations. Training and developing skills in existing staff.
  • Knowledge of Accreditation requirements and ready to lead the team to success.
  • Managing staff, rostering, and stock budget. Working with the finance team to improve profitability.
  • High level of technical knowledge: Experience and knowledge in multiple technical settings e.g. Remote Server and Share Point, Best Practice , Microsoft Suite & Hot Docs. The ability to continually learn new technology, implement and train others.
  • Working knowledge of Fair Work: Employment rules and entitlements.
