Are you an experienced
Procurement Officer
looking for your next career move? Our client, a leading organization in government, is seeking a dedicated professional to join their team. You will play a key role in delivering efficient and effective procurement services, ensuring all processes align with legislative and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing and monitoring procurement systems to ensure a high degree of compliance and probity.
  • Prepare and manage procurement documents, including publishing them using electronic or automated processes.
  • Facilitate the evaluation of procurement submissions with business units and evaluation panels.
  • Prepare and manage the execution of contract documentation.
  • Assist with the administration of contract registers and vendor panels.
  • Support other team members in delivering services to business units.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in procurement management functions and processes.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive job-related experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and pay strong attention to detail.
  • Adept at problem-solving, with the ability to analyse complex data and reports to develop workable solutions.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with business units and stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity, acting ethically and professionally at all times.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience using electronic tendering and evaluation software.
  • Knowledge of government tendering and contract management requirements.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar contract management modules.
  • Familiarity with government contracts, policies, and regulations.

This role reports to the Team Leader of Procurement. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a criminal reference check.
