Role Description

This is a contract role for a Procurement Officer - Local Government at P&M Pros. Based in Canterbury / Bankstown, NSW, this hybrid role allows for some work from home flexibility. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for handling purchase orders, conducting contract negotiations, analyzing procurement processes, and overseeing purchasing activities. Daily tasks include managing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and providing strategic support for procurement decisions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Local Government Procurement
  • Experience with Purchase Orders and Purchasing
  • Skills in Contract Negotiation and Procurement
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in a government or public sector setting is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
