**Your new role**
The Procurement Officer is accountable to the Manager Procurement and Facilities for providing advice and support on the development of a diverse range of procurements to ensure value for money is realised, contracts deliver the required outcomes, and risks are appropriately managed across the Department. Your duties will include, but not be limited to;
- Managing the end-to-end procurement process for a variety of categories
- Establishment of procurement contracts across all stages including needs identification, planning, preparation of documentation (acquisition plans and purchase recommendations), evaluation, negotiation, and contract establishment.
- Engaging proactively and concisely with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide advice on appropriate market approaches
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Government experience is a MUST
- Demonstrated experience in procurement and contracts
- The ability to obtain a National Police
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
