Eilbeck Cranes is a 100% Australian owned company operating in Australia for over 110 years specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of all types of overhead cranes, hoists, winches and servicing company which has national operations.

We are currently seeking an experienced, confident and motivated Procurement Officer to join our team in Sydney.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Australia's leading Overhead Crane Manufacturers and be part of the dynamic and fast-paced growing Company.

You will perform the efficient operation of the Procurement Officer duties for the company.

In this position, you will research and negotiate the best price and quality for our supply needs, with considerable practical and technical experience from manufacturing, steel fabrication, assembly and installation. You will establish relationships and serve as a representative of the company when negotiating contracts and building vendor and supplier trust as well as track and monitor the delivery and confirmation of all materials and supplies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Source & procure components, materials & processes to lower procurement costs.
- Request quotes and compare prices for maximum ROI
- Create Bill of Materials (BOM) and administration of resources for execution related to importation and exportation
- Interpret BOM to procure all crane manufacturing components
- Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
- Create and maintain good relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Negotiate appropriate contracts for pricing and supply
- Examine and review products and supplies to ensure quality
- Track incoming inventory, delivery arrival time, and note actual arrival time
- Organise and update database of suppliers, delivery times, invoices, and quantity of supplies
- Work with team members, supervisors, and purchasing manager to develop future purchasing plans and source potential relationships with vendors
- Ensure all deliveries contain all goods requested
- Collaborate with financial team members on contracts, invoicing, and other financial matters

Requirements and Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent, bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, finance, or procurement background
- Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy and systems
- Previous experience within Engineering industry would be advantageous
- Five years previous experience as procurement officer, manager, or related position
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, professional ability to negotiate, establish, and process contracts
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently
- Accurate and precise attention to detail
- Able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
