Medbill is on a journey to better support specialist doctors in providing healthcare across Australia.

Over the past 15 years we have become a leader in supporting doctors to administer high quality care for their patients. We strive to support our doctors with their administrative tasks so they are able to spend more time with patients driving positive health outcomes.

The business is currently undergoing a period of rapid growth and require a full-time Data Entry Officerto join a team of 45+ in our Spring Hill head office.

The Opportunity

  • Manage the inflow of doctor requests including billing sheets
  • Support our doctor clients in ensuring their claims are processed in a timely manner
  • Processing of medical claims with appropriate providers i.e. Medicare, private health funds, Workcover
  • Analyse claims and obtain missing information as required
  • Gain knowledge of the healthcare process and suggest opportunities for process improvement
  • Support other teams with ad hoc requests from doctor clients

Your Ideal Skills and Experience

  • Be naturally curious, with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to recognise trends or identify conflicting/ incorrect data
  • Strong computer literacy with typing speed of 50+ words per minute
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel advantageous
  • Self starter mentality with an ability to motivate yourself and the team to get through any required work
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • An ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks to ensure deadlines are met
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and/or experience in a medical administration role will be highly regarded
