About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Smoke Alarms Australia team as a Business Development Manager for our Central Melbourne Territory. A full-time, work from home role, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and expanding the company's customer base across the region.
What you'll be doing
- Proactively identifying, prospecting and converting new business leads to drive revenue growth, a true hunter at heart
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the local market
- Providing expert advice and solutions to clients to address their compliance needs
- Preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations and proposals
- Collaborating with the wider sales and operations teams to ensure high customer satisfaction
- Analysing market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities
- Achieving and exceeding individual and team sales targets
What we're looking for
- Proven track record in a business development or new sales role, ideally within the fire safety, real estate or construction industry
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to influence key decision-makers
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand client needs and tailor solutions
- Highly motivated, target-driven and resilient personality with a passion for sales
- Familiarity with the local city and beaches markets and established networks in the regions, with a love of driving and being on the road
- Professional, friendly and engaging personality
