We are a friendly and busy GP clinic seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team.

Experience preferred but not essential, however prior use of Best Practice software is highly regarded.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A friendly and professional manner
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Availability to work all day Friday and on weekends
  • Additional weekday availability is highly desirable

Responsibility

  • Timely and accurate administrative support to enable the clinic to run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Answering calls and checking emails
  • Open and close the Practice.
  • Facilitate patient consultations – appointment scheduling and reminders,
  • Facilitate service payments – collection of information, processing invoices and receipts, liaising with health funds, compensation and third-party claims.
  • Update data and information on the practice software, including incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Maintenance of general tidiness and cleanliness of all rooms.
  • Reconciliation of invoices and payments for banking
  • Other duties as directed by the Practice Manager.

Essential skills and experience include:

  • Previous General Practice experience with ability to use the Best Practice software.
  • Communicating effectively with diverse range of people both verbally and in writing.
  • Time management skills
  • Punctuality and Professionalism
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
