We're looking for a driven sales professional to grow and nurture our Melbourne customer base, bringing the taste of Vienna to Australia's coffee culture.
This position is held through Coffee 1862, the exclusive Australian distributor of Julius Meinl coffee, representing the brand's tradition of excellence, craftsmanship, and passion for meaningful coffee moments.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Business Development Manager / Coffee Sales Executive , you'll be the face of Julius Meinl in the Melbourne market. Your focus will be on building and nurturing strong relationships with cafés, restaurants, hotels, and distributors who share our passion for premium coffee experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and expanding an existing portfolio of valued clients across the hospitality sector.
- Prospecting and onboarding new customers who align with our brand and quality standards.
- Working closely with customers to ensure product satisfaction and brand loyalty.
- Conducting coffee tastings, product demonstrations, and barista training sessions.
- Collaborating with internal teams to deliver seamless customer service and consistent brand presence.
- Visiting client sites and cafés as needed to support with equipment setup, troubleshooting, and coffee machine optimisation.
- Achieving sales growth targets while embodying the Julius Meinl brand values.
What You'll Bring
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
- Proven experience in sales or account management, ideally within coffee, beverages, or hospitality supply.
- Coffee machine technical knowledge/experience is advantageous.
- A genuine love for coffee and strong understanding of café culture.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously from a home base.
- A valid driver's licence (a fully maintained company car is provided).
- A professional, approachable, and entrepreneurial attitude.
