About the Role

In this role, you'll oversee the triage and management of medical assistance cases, ensuring travellers receive safe and timely care, no matter where they are. You'll mentor, coach, and guide your clinical team, fostering a culture of excellence, compassion, and resilience—while embedding strong clinical governance and risk management practices.

What You'll Be Doing

As the leader of our medical coordination team, you'll:

• Oversee the triage and prioritisation of complex medical cases-
  providing on-call support for escalations, ensuring decisions are clinically sound, documented properly, and aligned with industry best practice, mitigating medical risk and maintaining the highest standards of clinical governance.
• Build and lead a cohesive, high-performing team
• mentoring and supporting clinical professionals, to foster continuous learning, and create a culture of accountability, empathy, and excellence.
• Enable your team to thrive
• from managing rosters to facilitating development plans and performance reviews,—you will ensure consistent coverage and care quality, even during challenging circumstances.
• Play a major role in shaping the future of clinical assistance services
• by participating in audits, championing continuous improvement, and driving innovation in medical support delivery. You will contribute to operational efficiency, customer confidence, and enhanced value for both travellers and the business.
• Model safe, ethical, and compliant practices-
  ensuring adherence to WHS standards, regulatory frameworks, and risk management processes. With your leadership, every traveller receives care that is timely, safe, and centred on their wellbeing, while your team feels empowered, engaged, and motivated to deliver excellence.

What We're Looking For

• Registered Nurse (AHPRA or equivalent) with 5+ years' experience in critical settings such as emergency, ICU, aviation or remote medicine, or telehealth.
• Proven clinical leadership experience, with strong skills in mentoring, people management, and clinical governance.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving ability.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance clinical oversight with operational performance.
• Background in travel or insurance-based emergency assistance and exposure to medical case governance (Desired).
