Personal Bank Operations is a specialist hub for pre-approval activities for consumer customers, including credit decisioning, verification, and unconditional approval processing. We help our Consumer customers achieve their aspirations through the reliable delivery of pre-approval activities nationally.

**About the role**

As an Associate, you will work within a team of Credit Assessors and assess files that are submitted from Proprietary, Broker and Advantedge. Your primary responsibility is the verification of customer information on all new and existing (top up) lending within the respective portfolios. Other responsibilities may include the control of credit assessment processes and to develop policies to ensure that an acceptable level of risk is maintained. This role is key to ensure responsible lending obligations are met prior to sending through to File Quality for a customer outcome. Day to day you will:

- Verify all required customer information and supporting documentation to confirm accuracy of customer position and identity
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work instructions
- Manage ones’ individual performance metrics including productivity, throughput and quality
- Adhere to all leave requirements as set out by the Enterprise Agreement including annual leave and the use of RDOs
- Liaise with colleagues including Credit Assessors, Retail and Everyday Banking
- Manage risk, adhering to current process and procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified
- Complete compliance and role based learning as required and on time
- Take ownership of updating AOM and Real Time Management (RTM) to ensure its accuracy

**About You**

Experience in banking and credit and a strong passion for customers is a must to be successful in this role. You will have excellent attention to detail with proven financial analysis experience involving balance sheets and profit and loss statements. In addition, you will have:

- A current and experienced holder of a DCA
- Credit risk management experience
- Significant credit/consumer lending role experience
- Strong attention to detail with credit checking, ensuring that mortgages are compliant with APRA guidelines
- Experience providing outstanding customer service high volume and target orientated environment
- A basic understanding of credit structures to assist with the understanding and completion of credit submissions
- Ability to conduct financial analysis and interpret financial statements
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in line with business requirements
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
