Credit Assessment Analyst

About the Role:
We are looking for a Credit Assessment Analyst to join our growing team in Melbourne. As a Credit Assessment Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating and assessing the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers. You will be an integral part of our credit risk management process, working closely with sales and customer service teams to ensure that we are making informed credit decisions and minimising risk.
Your Key Activities Will Include:
- Evaluate and assess the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers, using internal and external data sources.
- Analyse financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to determine creditworthiness.
- Prepare detailed credit assessments and recommendations, highlighting potential risks and mitigating factors.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure that credit decisions are made in a timely and accurate manner.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of credit risk policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulatory changes, and incorporate this knowledge into credit risk assessments.
About you and Your Experience
- A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field is preferred.
- Solid experience in credit risk assessment or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse financial statements and other data sources.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
