We have a new 12 month fixed term contract role available to join the Accounts Receivable Team as part of our Business Solutions Centre based at Burnley, VIC.

This all-rounder role will be based across multiple ERP systems, so we are seeking a system-savvy, multi-tasking master to work alongside our busy Credit and Admin teams.

The role will include a number credit and administration tasks associated with the running of the Accounts Receivable Department. These tasks will vary depending on the time of the month and the workload of the credit team. You will contribute to the overall performance of the department by assisting with timely processing of payments, customer account reconciliations, debt collection, new account assessments and month end activities.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

- Proactively contacting customers to facilitate payment of invoices due
- Reconciling debtors’ ledgers
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and Accounts Receivable / General ledger balancing
- Uploading invoice data into customer portals and resolving invoice related customer queries
- Creating pallet credit memos or reversing / revising invoices
- Assist with month end closing activities across various business units

- Experience working in an Accounts Receivable role
- Strong customer service mindset and sound influencing and negotiating skills
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables etc)
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, accurately and deliver high quality output under time pressure
- Good problem-solving skills: acting as a self-starter, analysing an issue and its potential impact, bringing a range of options and recommended solutions to achieve optimal outcomes
