**About the role**

To support our growing mining business, we are seeking experienced Mining Superintendents to join our team. Reporting to the Mine Manager, your primary responsibility will be to work in partnership with departments across the site and the wider business to deliver our mining schedule.

Overseeing an experienced team of supervisors and work crews, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining high performing teams; providing comprehensive mentorship and leadership across the work group, whilst ensuring your teams operate with the highest regard to safety.

**Responsibilities**
- Promote and monitor the use of company safety systems, such as Take Times and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) to meet site safety standards
- Actively lead and promote processes directed at delivering safety and production goals
- Conduct Daily workplace inspections to ensure high safety standards are maintained
- Coach and support Supervisors and respective teams to effectively manage team performance
- Actively coordinate and follow all relevant HR procedures including recruitment and the management of medium risk substandard performance matters
- Accurately maintain and report all weekly production/plant and equipment data in a timely manner in accordance with company procedures
- Identify gaps and resolve operational problems within training and capability, and as required escalate medium to high-risk matters to Mine manager without delay

**Qualifications**
- 5+ years' Supervisory experience in production environment
- Quarry Management ticket - essential
- Cert IV in Frontline leadership
- Leading and maintaining a safe work environment for self and others
- Proven leadership experience and people management skills
- Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills
- Well-developed analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of mining industry acts, codes, and regulations
