THE ROLE
The Portfolio and Leasing Manager will manage a team of property professionals responsible for the administration and performance of Homes Victoria property portfolios, including those with registered community housing agencies and private parties. This critical role is responsible for maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders; providing professional, robust advice; leading a team through a period of dynamic change; developing strategic frameworks; managing robust procurement processes, operating budget and cash flow management; performance reporting and risk management.

The Portfolio and Leasing Manager will be required to execute leasing strategies and drive enhanced performance through the leveraging of relationships and market knowledge. This is an exciting time to be joining Homes Victoria as it delivers the Victorian Government's landmark social and affordable housing investment.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Manage and oversee the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:

- (a) Researching, preparing, and executing project business cases and plans within resourcing, timeline, and budget parameters
- (b) Preparing and presenting quality reports and work briefings in accordance with the department's project management processes
- (c) Evaluating tender bids and participating in liaison and negotiation associated with tender processes
- (d) Contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure departmental objectives are met
- Oversee, monitor and deliver business area performance across financial and non-financial activities and ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.
- Effectively manage and provide leadership to a team of employees by:

- (a) leading and supporting individuals to achieve their potential and contribution to organisational goals and outcomes
- (b) modelling behaviours integral to good people management and departmental values
- (c) where relevant, managing and monitoring specific improvement objectives in annual improvement plans relating to the area of responsibility
- (d) pro-actively building and maintaining positive relationships with peers and stakeholders across the organisation.
