**Your new role**
In your role, you will be responsible for:

- The effective management of the Department’s operational property portfolio, including the management of properties leased in and out, minimisation of vacant or underutilised space and disposal of surplus properties
- The management of more than 500 fleet, ensuring the delivery of a safe and efficient fleet that meets the Department’s business needs
- Leading a team who will provide professional and specialist portfolio property and fleet management advice and services to the Branch, department and internal and external stakeholders
- Establishing and adhering to robust governance and client management frameworks, systems and controls
- Fulfilling internal and external reporting obligations, contributing to the strategic leadership of this branch, and representing the branch at internal and external forums

**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed in this role, you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in Property
- Extensive commercial leasing experience - essential
- Extensive commercial property and asset management experience - essential
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills - essential
- Demonstrated experience successfully leading teams - essential
- Property disposal experience - desirable
- Public sector property experience - desirable
- Full working rights in Australia, valid driver’s license, triple covid vaccination status
