What are we looking for?
Our National HR Team is on the lookout for a friendly and eager entry-level HR Administrator in a role suited to a recent graduate wanting to expand on their current experience.
This position will be Melbourne-based, with flexibility to split your time between working from home and in the office.
Reporting to the Senior HR Advisor and working alongside our existing HR Administrator, this role is an integral part of the HR team, assisting us in servicing the wider business with all basic HR & WHS administrative enquiries.
Ideally you will have a qualification majoring in Human Resources or Workplace Health and Safety, or 6-12 months previous experience in a similar role. This role is perfect for someone who is at the start of their career and wanting to gain experience in a large, fast-paced organisation.
What will you bring?
As part of our HR Helpdesk team, you will be attending to administrative HR tasks and providing base-level advice throughout all parts of the employee lifecycle. Key day to day duties include:
- Monitoring and attending to queries within the dedicated HR & WHS inboxes in a timely manner
- Generating and issuing employment contracts or letters of variation
- Maintaining digital employee records and update databases
- Liaise with key internal stakeholders, including HR Business Partners and Payroll
- Provide basic HR advice on entitlements, benefits and policies
- Monitor the HR helpline to provide on the spot assistance
- Support with annual processes
- Ad-hoc project work to support the wider team
- Assisting with onboarding and offboarding processes
- Coordinating WHS compliance training and activities, including monthly reporting
- Coordinating ergonomic assessments and other WHS support for employees and offices as needed
To support your success in the role, the following experience and attributes are desired:
- Completed or nearing the end of a degree or qualification specialising in Human Resources or Workplace, Health & Safety
- Strong customer service experience, with a passion for providing high level service to the business
- Be willing, eager to learn and ask questions
- Demonstrated high level attention to detail
- A keen interest in both HR & WHS
- Friendly, professional communication approach and desire to grow relationships with key stakeholders
