HR Assistant / HR Administrator - Temporary Cover (4-6 Weeks)

Melbourne, VIC

$40 - $45 per hour

Are you an organised and proactive administrator with a passion for supporting people processes? This company are seeking an organised and proactive HR Assistant / HR Administrator to join their team on a temporary cover basis for 4-6 weeks.

This is a great opportunity to step into a busy and supportive environment, providing essential HR and administrative support while a team member is on leave.

This company are well-established company in the industrial and infrastructure sector, known for delivering complex projects across Australia with a strong focus on safety, quality, and collaboration.

In this role, you'll play a key part in onboarding, inductions, and keeping HR documentation up to date, all while providing general administrative support to ensure their people and processes run smoothly.

The Role:

  • Assist with onboarding duties for new starters
  • Coordinate and deliver site inductions for staff and contractors
  • Prepare, manage, and file HR documentation and personnel records
  • Contact sub-contractors to arrange onboarding and issue uniforms
  • Complete and process HR-related forms and paperwork
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team and site managers

The Person:

  • Previous administration experience in a similar environment (HR experience highly regarded)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately
  • Able to work independently and manage competing priorities
