To manage the effective and efficient delivery of financial and human resources services to ensure the association meets its purpose.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

This role of the Business Manager has two major components:
1. Manage the financial operations.

2. Ensure all compliance requirements are met.

3. Deliver human resources, manage Awards, employee relations and on boarding of staff. Finance Prepare, manage, and monitor financial operations to ensure that finances are maintained in an accurate and timely manner.

Prepare monthly Financial Reports for Board meetings. (8 a year) Prepare and monitor monthly PAYG and quarterly BAS to Taxation Office.

Prepare and monitor the financial operations of branches and prepare monthly financial reports for each branch in an accurate and timely manner. Complete payroll.

Reconcile and pay Tax and Superannuation and produce annual Payment Summaries.

Prepare and monitor the budget. Liaise with accountants and auditors to ensure finance operates in accordance with Australian Taxation Office regulations.

Ensure Annual Audited Financial reports are presented for the Annual General Meeting and submitted to ASIC and the Queensland Office of Fair Trading.

Office Management Ensure all aspects and timelines associated with office compliance are met - fire drills, workplace health and safety, licensing agreements and stocktakes.

Maintain the asset register. Arrange technical support/maintenance as required.

Communicate with internal and external key to encourage cooperation in complying with technical, business and administrative requirements.

Provides information and advice on industrial awards and policies. Demonstrates\empathy, emotional understanding, and support. Qualifications and Skills Tertiary qualification in finance and business administration. Experience in PAYG and BAS preparation.

High level skills in using MYOB. Experience with computerised accounting systems. Experience in Payroll.
