**The Organisation**:
Our client is a highly successful organisation, with a long standing and respected name in the industry. With a strong commitment to both internal and external stakeholders, this organisation has been able to expand over recent years to become an instantly recognisable business. In a vitally important leadership role, our client is looking for an experienced Payroll professional to mentor and lead their payroll team. This role will be an exciting opportunity for those looking a sea change in Victoria's south western region of Hamilton.

**Role & Responsibilities**:
Reporting into the Finance Manager, the role will involve taking leadership of the Payroll team with key tasks involving:

- Developing, mentoring and leading a close knit team of 3 x Payroll Officers
- Oversee the fortnightly payroll processing for approximately 1,000 employees
- Develop and strive for process improvement to improve efficiency
- Reconciliation of payroll accounts and reporting as required
- Provide training and mentoring to develop and enhance team performance
- Ensuring compliance with payroll related legislation
- Upholding high customer service standards and protocols across the business
- Partner and develop strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders

The successful applicant will have high level payroll experience along with the following skills and attributes:

- Passion and desire to lead and manage a team
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
- Experience working in a medium to large organisation
- Effective time management & organisational skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to positive influence
